Educational Qualification

  • Nursing Superintendent: Certificate as Registered Nurse and Midwife (3 years GNM) from recognized institution OR B.Sc Nursing.
  • Pharmacist (Entry Grade): Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Allopathic) registered under Pharmacy Act, 1948 OR Doctor of Pharmacy.
  • Radiographer (X-Ray Technician): 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and Diploma in Radiography / X-Ray Technician / Radiodiagnosis Technology (2 years). Science graduates preferred.
  • Health & Malaria Inspector Grade-II: B.Sc. with Chemistry as main/optional subject plus one year Diploma of Health/Sanitary Inspector OR one year NTC in Health Sanitary Inspector.
  • Lab Assistant Grade-II: 12th (10+2) in Science plus Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) OR equivalent Certificate Course.
  • Dialysis Technician: B.Sc. plus Diploma in Haemodialysis OR two years satisfactory in-house Training/Experience in Haemodialysis.
  • ECG Technician: 10+2 / Graduation in Science with Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology / Cardiology / Cardiology Technician.
  • Audiologist & Speech Therapist: Bachelor in Audiology, Speech Language Pathology (BASLP) from recognized University and registered with RCI.
  • Optometrist: B.Sc. in Optometry or Diploma in Ophthalmic Technician (3 to 4 years duration).

Medical Standard

Candidates called for Document Verification must pass requisite medical fitness test conducted by Railway Administration.

  • B-1: Distant Vision 6/9, 6/12; Near Vision Sn 0.6, 0.6; Colour, Binocular, Night and Mesopic Vision tests. Applicable to Dialysis Technician, Radiographer, Speech Therapist etc.
  • C-1: Distant Vision 6/12, 6/18; Near Vision Sn 0.6, 0.6. Applicable to Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, Health & Malaria Inspector, Optometrist, ECG Technician, Lab Assistant Grade II.
  • C-2: Distant Vision 6/12, NIL; Near Vision Sn 0.6 combined. For specific administrative/clerical support posts.

Selection Process

Single Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification (DV).

  • Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible PwBD candidates with scribe).

  • Shortlisting for Document Verification strictly on CBT merit.
