Eligibility Criteria (Summary)

1. Superintending Research Scientist (5 posts): Ph.D. in Chemistry / Geology / Chemical Engineering / Petroleum Engineering with Master’s degree (min 60% marks) + Minimum 4 years post-qualification relevant experience. Upper Age: UR 37, OBC(NCL) 40, SC 42.
2. Senior Officer (Mechanical) (14 posts): Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (min 4 years, 65% marks – excluding certain specializations). Upper Age: UR 27, OBC(NCL) 30, SC/ST 32, EWS 27.
3. Senior Officer (Petroleum) (4 posts): Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering/Technology (min 2 years, 60% marks) with Engineering at Graduation level. Upper Age: UR 29, OBC(NCL) 32.
4. Senior Accounts Officer / Senior Internal Auditor (6 posts): Associate Member of ICAI / ICMAI. Upper Age: UR 29, OBC(NCL) 32, SC 34.
5. Hindi Officer (Official Language) (2 posts): Post Graduate Degree in Hindi + Minimum 3 years relevant experience. Upper Age: UR 29, OBC(NCL) 32.
6. Confidential Secretary (1 post): Graduate + Diploma in Secretarial Practice / Modern Office Management etc. + Minimum 2 years experience + Computer knowledge. Upper Age: GEN/EWS 37, OBC(NCL) 40, SC/ST 42.

Selection Process

Grade B & Grade C: Computer Based Test (CBT) + Personal Interview
Grade A: Computer Based Test (CBT) + Proficiency / Skill Test (qualifying)
Medical Examination: Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) at OIL Hospital, Duliajan or authorized centres.

Exam Pattern

Grade B & C Posts

CBT: 100 marks (Weightage 85) | Duration: 90 minutes
Personal Interview: 15 marks
Candidates shortlisted in 1:5 ratio for interview

Grade A Posts

CBT: 100 marks | Duration: 90 minutes
Skill Test: 100 marks (Qualifying only, no weightage)
Shortlisting ratio 1:2 for skill test
